The first graduates of postgraduate study of the Higher Institute of Information Technologies and Intelligent Systems got a Postgraduate Certificate of Education

Today, on November 9, postgraduate students of the Higher Institute of Information Technologies and Intelligent Systems received postgraduate diplomas from the Vice-rector for education activities Dmitry Tayursky. The ceremony was held in the small hall of the KSC KFU "UNICS" at 12.00.

We congratulate graduate students of the Higher Institute of ITIS: Ilseyar Alimova, Roman Lavrenov and Anton Egorchev. They were awarded the qualification of a research teacher.

This is a significant event for the Higher Institute of ITIS, because today there are first graduates of “Computer science and computer engineering” (09.06.01) postgraduate study.

Young scientists had been working on dissertations on current and popular scientific topics for 4 years. Roman's dissertation («Multi-criteria route planning and optimization algorithm for control systems of mobile robotic complexes») is focused on the development of a combined multi-criteria route planner algorithm that combines the advantages of potential field methods and the Voronoi diagram. Ilseyar's dissertation («Development of methods and algorithms for extracting side effects and searching for connections between objects in biomedical texts») is focused on the search of information about new adverse drug effects in the texts of user reviews, electronic patient cards and scientific articles. The methods proposed in this paper are based on machine learning models and neural networks. The obtained results can be used in pharmacology for reorientation and improving the quality of medicinal drugs. Anton's dissertation («Virtual, computational and sensor subsystems of the autonomous logistics transportation system») examines the system of autonomous logistics transportation based on unmanned cargo transport. The architecture of subsystems in the system, algorithms for the functioning of elements of subsystems are taking place, and the hardware and software bases of the system are presented. The research results were used in the development of an unmanned cargo transport based on the KAMAZ chassis.

Roman Lavrenov, junior research associate at the Laboratory of intelligent robotic systems (LIRS), winner in the «2017 Best graduate student of KFU in the field of natural and physical and mathematical sciences» nomination:

«The event is important and significant, but it is only the end of the third stage of education, and not the defense of a Candidate thesis. Although the requirements for the final work are close to the formal requirements of the dissertation. During my studies, my supervisor and I made efforts to prepare scientific papers of international level, which then were published in the proceedings and journals indexed in Scopus or Web of Science. For today, 12 of these works have already been indexed. Currently, I need to fulfill the formal requirements for my dissertation and publish several papers of the Higher Attestation Commission in order to successfully defend my Candidate thesis».

We congratulate graduate students of the Higher Institute of ITIS and wish them a successful defense of their Candidate thesis.
