Student of the Elabuga Institute of KFU became an Ambassador Mail.ru Group

Vadim Kormishin, a student of the faculty of mathematics and natural Sciences, will represent the technology company at KFU.

The list of new participants of the program "Ambassadors Mail.ru Group". During the 2020/21 academic year, 49 students, postgraduates and teachers will represent the technology company in their universities. At Kazan Federal University as an Ambassador Mail.ru Vadim Kormishin, a fifth-year student of the faculty of mathematics and natural Sciences of the Yelabuga Institute, became the winner.

In total, more than 3,500 applications were submitted for the program. The multi-stage selection included various tasks: from shooting a video application and passing a fact-finding test about the company to an intensive two-month educational program that included webinars from leading employees of various business units and top managers Mail.ru Group.

"The main task of ambassadors is to tell modern students about the it industry, the company's products and services, educational opportunities, as well as prospects for working in Mail.ru Group. Students will conduct educational activities in their universities on behalf of the company: they will organize lectures, webinars and other events," the organizers explain.

Vadim Kormishin is studying to become a teacher of mathematics and computer science, and is also a scholarship holder of the project for targeted training of teachers of the Republic of Tatarstan. Since 2017, he has been helping teachers of the Institute to develop and test e-courses at the distance learning site of KFU. The student also acts as a teaching assistant at advanced training courses for teachers, computer literacy courses for pensioners, when conducting computer science classes with schoolchildren in the educational camps "InteLeto", "KFUmniki" and "TsifroLeto" at the Elabuga Institute of KFU.

"For more than six years I have been engaged in volunteer activities in projects Mail.ru Group. This journey is a priceless reward. I’m very happy to try myself as an IT Evangelist, teaming up with like-minded people from other universities and Mail.ru Group. There are many interesting and exciting events, promotions and projects ahead of us. I am sure that cooperation between KFU and Mail.ru the event will be fruitful and very useful for both students and schoolchildren," – Vadim shared.

Since the first year, Vadim has been engaged in robotics, in particular educational, is a member of the initiative group of the organizers of the school of robotics RoboSTART.KIDS, and since this year he has been teaching robotics classes at the house of scientific collaboration named after K. A. Valiev.

The fifth-year student actively participates in student life events, forums, conferences and scientific and educational projects of the Elabuga Institute of KFU, including "Night of science", "Festival of school teachers".

"Vadim strives to learn new things and apply innovations in educational and teaching activities, is able to find an approach to children, to ensure their motivation to learn. This is a capable and promising teacher who can successfully realize himself in the professional sphere. An intellectual and altruist who will never refuse to help. Accurate, accurate and attentive to details", – describes the student senior lecturer of the Department of mathematics and applied computer science Elena Lyubimova.

This year's ambassadors Mail.ru will appear in 12 cities and 30 universities: Lomonosov Moscow state University, Bauman Moscow state technical University, MEPhI, SPbU and others. The highest number of students is at the Higher school of Economics: four students at the Moscow campus and one at the St. Petersburg one. Among the participants of the program are residents of millions of people and small cities, such as Yelabuga and Stary Oskol, where branches of major universities of KFU and NUST MISIS are located.

The program will help students develop communication, management and flexible skills, try themselves as a representative of a large it company while studying at the University, and implement their own ideas and projects. Participants of the program will be able to learn from the company's experts, and some will later get real experience in the team Mail.ru Group.
