INTERNATIONAL WEBINAR 'EFFECTS OF PROLONGED LOCKDOWN UNDER COVID 19 ON EDUCATION SYSTEM' RUSSIA – INDIA

On July 21, the Institute of Philology and intercultural communication hosted an international webinar "Effects of Prolonged Lockdown under COVID 19 on Education System" which was organized by the Partap Pedagogical College of Punjab University (India, Ludhiana) and the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication of Kazan Federal University (Russia, Kazan) with the support of the International Professional Development Association (IPDA).

The message of the webinar is to unite the efforts of the world pedagogical community in solving the problems of the impact of the pandemic on the education system.

Director of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication Radif Zamaletdinov and Director of Partap College of Education Balwant Singh addressed the participants of the webinar with welcome speeches.

Radif Zamaletdinov: This webinar is one of the international joint projects of Partap College of Education (India) and the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication of Kazan Federal University (Russia), and can be regarded as evidence of fruitful cooperation between two institutions. Not long ago – in February, 2020 – our Institutions organized and held an International Conference "Cross-border and Multicultural Perspectives in Professional Development of Teachers". The theme of the Conference covered important research problems that are under the focus of the scholars of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication, which suggests that our scientific interests are intersected. We all remember that the Conference was a great success. This webinar is dedicated to the up-to-date topic "Effects of Prolonged Lockdown under COVID-19 on Educational System". Within the framework of today’s webinar we can discuss issues on how COVID-19 has affected educational systems in our countries, and pros and cons of remote teaching in higher schools.

The webinar was attended by 95 scientists and researchers from India, Spain, Italy and Russia. All participants of the webinar noted its excellent organization. The topics of presentations were thought-provoking and triggered discussion on a wide range of issues related to the theme of the webinar.

We thank the organizers of the webinar and hope this Internet project as well as other joint projects that we realize together, for sure, contribute to our institutions' development, and both our communities benefit from this collaboration.
