Rector llshat Gafurov elected to the Board of Directors of Tatneftekhiminvest Holding

An online annual board meeting was held this week.

Tatneftekhiminvest Holding (Tatarstan Petroleum Chemistry Investment Holding) is a major investment company in the Republic of Tatarstan. It acts as a coordinating center for the local petrochemical industry.

TNKI Holding has recently been designated as the head organization for a planned world-level research and education center (WLREC) of Tatarstan. Kazan Federal University is a major participant of this center, aiming to develop large-scale projects in petroleum and petrochemical industry, biomedicine, and agricultural technology.

The Board of Directors comprises 26 people, including President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin. Dr. Gafurov joined the Board for the first time.

The next meeting is scheduled for 29th June and will be dedicated to the voting for the chairperson’s position. Current chairperson Rustam Minnikhanov is expected to retain his post.
