The participants in the seminar were psychologists from KFU, educational psychologists, social care teachers, teaching methodology experts, employees from a rehabilitation psychology centre and others.

The participants pointed out the relevance of existing international psychological practices and specifically, in the field of educational assessment. A director of the psychological, medical and social counselling centre “Resource” said:

It is important for us, practitioners, not to lose touch with science. I hope that together with researchers we can find better solutions and apply them to practice.

Also, she mentioned:

According to the statistics, the proportion of psychologists to students, parents and teachers is about one psychologist to 500 people (students, parents, and teachers). We would be glad to have more student psychologists at our counselling centre. However, we need parents’ consent before a student psychologist can work with children. Those legal aspects can create difficulties. At the same, a student needs to have this practical experience before he or she enters a job.
