From June 4 to 6, 2019, the Imagine Institute hosted the annual Young Researchers in Life Sciences conference. More than 200 participants presented the results of the research work, exchanged ideas and results with their colleagues and invited speakers. From our laboratory, poster presentations were presented by Ph.D. Elvira Rozhina – devoted to the reduction of the toxicity of graphene oxide using natural nanoclay, Ph.D. Svetlana Konnova, who presented the work on the modification of halloysite nanotubes of marine hydrocarbon-oxidizing bacteria A. borkumensis, researcher Ramil Fakhrullin who spoke about the use of dark-field microscopy to visualize magnetic nanomaterials and Junior researcher Läysän Nigamatzyanova, who presented the work on the study of the symbiotic interaction of Caenorhabditis elegans nematodes and Alcanivorax borkumensis oil-degrading bacteria in the host-microflora system.
A wide variety of disciplines presented on the conference allowed participants to deepen their knowledge, broaden their horizons and expand the possibilities of international cooperation.
