Head of Talent and Success Foundation Yelena Shmelyova discussed talent management at Kazan University

She joined a seminar today at the Institute of Management, Economics and Finance.

Before the meeting, Ms. Shmelyova met with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of Education and Science of Tatarstan Rafis Burganov and Rector Ilshat Gafurov. An agreement was signed to open a branch of Sirius Educational Center (a brand ran by Talent and Success) in Tatarstan.

During the meeting at KFU, Yelena Shmelyova said, “Our model came up because of the decision by the President of Russia to hand over the Olympic Games infrastructure to us. The objective is to gather children, infrastructure, experts, and industrial partners in one place. This model has shown its efficiency. Sirius is a new example of a science city within the Olympic infrastructure.”

She noted that it’s impossible to foster a harmonious personality by only training one set of skills, such as technological prowess. That’s why the Sirius concept aims to develop talents in sports, arts, and other spheres.

Kazan University has amassed some experience in this regard, with its two secondary schools – the IT Lyceum and the Lobachevsky Lyceum – among the top 100 schools in Russian national rankings.

After the plenary meeting, Ms. Shmelyova visited the IT Lyceum to meet with Sirius students.
