Africa Liberation Day

The Organization of African Unity declared May 25 the Day of Liberation of Africa in 1963. On this date the conference of students of the KFU Preparatory School has been held by the Department of External Relations. Representatives from Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burundi, Ghana, Guinea, Egypt, Zambia, Cameroon, Kenya, Côte d'Ivoire, the Republic of the Congo, Mali, Nigeria, Chad and Ethiopia gathered in the conference room. Speakers talked about the problems of African countries and proposed their solutions for economic recovery and the welfare of the people. Willing to see Africa a peaceful, prosperous and democratic continent, girls and boys came to study to Russia - this idea was a keynote in all speeches. As the conference participant from Cameroon correctly noted: "Here in Russia we now represent our homeland, and after graduating from KFU we, as specialists in different professions, will represent Russia in our country." There is no doubt, that the young people who study at KFU will surely reach great heights in their professional activities and will be able to make their dreams come true. At the end of the conference, S.A.Tsvetkov, the KFU International Officer, and E.D. Shimkovich, Head of the Preparatory, presented diplomas and gifts to the activists.
