The Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Mr. Dmitriy Livanov, paid a working visit to IT-lyceum of KFU on the 19th of March, being accompanied by The Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mr. Engel Fattakhov, and the Rector of Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University, Mr. Ilshat Gafurov.
The Director of IT-lyceum, Mr. Irek Fatkhutdinov, and the counselor of the Rector, Director of the Department of pre-university, general and pedagogical education, Lyudmila Nugumanova, arranged an excursion around classes, laboratories and boarding school and acquainted the guests with innovation training system applied in the educational institution. Lyceum pupils took part in the discussion with great interest.
Mr. Dmitriy Livanov estimated the level of natural sciences-related disciplines teaching in English and emphasized importance of polylingual training. He also liked the fact that in order to ensure proper organizing of work with talented children classes consisted of 12 pupils, and children from Kazan, like all rest of the pupils, resided at the boarding school. During the meeting the question concerning necessity to select and admit talented children to the IT-lyceum after the 6th form was discussed, as well. Upon the visit termination Mr. Dmitriy Livanov wished the children success in study, while teachers were wished success in their work.
