On March, 29 in Leo Tolstoy Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication the workshops of Annual Final Students’ Conference began their work. The Department of Germanic Philology of the Higher school of Russian and Foreign Philology observed 4 sections within the proceedings of the conference.

At the workshop “Studies of the English Language in synchrony and diachrony” (PhD Almira Tatkenova, assistant prof. Elena Varlamova) the report on the language of Internet blogs by Daria Kornilova was highly evaluated. The student managed to determine and describe the functions of euphemisms, characteristic of the language of the Internet, and identify euphemisms-neologisms, which appeared quite recently in the blogs. Lively interest was aroused by the report of Elizabeth Obrezkova that touched upon gender relations in phraseological units of the Russian and English languages.

In the section "Actual problems of modern linguistics" 11 students of 2-5 courses presented their works. Students’ works dedicated to comparative studies of phraseology of the main European languages including Russian language, as well as to urgent issues of translation and stylistic processes. The winner of the section was the 5th year student of Sharipova Albina with a report on the topic "Problems of translation of realities based on Neil Gaiman’s novel "American Gods". The supervisor of studies is associate professor, candidate of philological sciences Elena Vladimirovna Kharkova.

In the section “Features of pre-school and school English language teaching in the modern world: theory and practice” deals with the actual problems of teaching young children the English language. The students made reports and presentations, paying special attention to contemporary methods of teaching foreign languages in the process of organizing communicative and computer games, using mass media and authentic texts.

Am 29. März 2018 wurden die Vorträge der Studenten des 4.und 5. Studienjahres im Rahmen der studentischen wissenschaftlichen Jahreskonferenz des Instituts für Philologie und interkulturelle Kommunikation präsentiert, die die Ergebnisse der vielseitigen Forschungen vorstellten. Als Forschungsgegenstand wurden die Methoden der Repräsentation des Jugendlexikons in den modernen deutschsprachigen Medien, strukturell-semantischen Besonderheiten der russischen und deutschen phraseologischen Einheiten mit der Farbbezeichnung, Nuancen der Übersetzung des Romans von G. Poppe „Abgehauen“, Methodik der Beibringung der Schriftspracheam Material der Referenztexte, religiöses Weltbild in der deutschen und russischen Phraseologie, lexikalische Abkürzungen in deutschen und russischen Werbetexten, phraseodidaktische Aspekte der Untersuchungvon deutschen phraseologischen Einheiten usw. gewählt. Die Leiterinnen der Sektion – Dr. Kulkowa M. A. und Dr. Safina R. A. haben das hohe Niveau der Vorbereitung der Vorträge, den wissenschaftlichen Stil der Darstellung des Materials und sowie die hohe Motivation der Studenten bestätigt.
