EcoNight, KFU

Members of the Chair of the Germanic Philology delivered an open lecture “Language as an ecosystem” within the event, titled EcoNight held in KFU, March 2nd.  The lecture was dedicated to a language as permanently changing and evolving system. Having visited a lecture, you could learn different theories of language origins, elementary human language, protolanguage, language families and language ecology.

Lecture covered such phenomena as pidgin, creole group of languages and artificial languages.

Speakers managed to link such distant disciplines as biology as linguistics and truly engaged the audience.
