Ilshat Gafurov made the announcement on 28th February.

In his capacity as Counsellor, Adel Vafin will work on medical research and education and assist the University Clinic in the implementation of its development programs.

While addressing Dr. Vafin in front of the KFU team, Rector Gafurov noted, “With your extensive experience in your previous position, I am sure that you will help the Unviersity develop, including our medical equipment research and production. We must all remember that our efforts have to produce tangible results. I hereby ask Vice-Rector for Biomedicine Andrey Kiyasov to join this work.”

Adel Vafin has worked in various positions as a medical professional, including that of the Minister of Healthcare of Tatarstan from September 2013 till February 2018. He has a scientific degree of the Candidate of Sciences in Medicine.
