Visit by Attache for Science and Technology of the Embassy of France

Attache Aurelien Leynet met with KFU executives on 19th February.

He held talks with Vice-Rector Dmitry Tayursky and several employees who have professional links with French partners.

After Dr. Tayursky's presentation, Mr. Leynet thanked the University for a warm welcome and noted the need to expand cooperation. Indeed, only 18 French citizens came to KFU in 2017 for various types of internships and research.

KFU academics noted that there are some difficulties in exchange, especially the significant difference in costs of living between the two countries. It's much cheaper for French nationals to stay in Russia.

Among KFU's partners in France are University of Strasbourg, University of Paris III, Paris Nanterre University, Institute of Structural Biology (Grenoble), INSERM, French Petroleum Institute, and Mediterranean Institute of Neurobiology (Marseille).
