2018 in KFU and Tatarstan is named the Year of Leo Tolstoy. Many projects and events will be dedicated to the great writer in the Yelabuga Institute.

A contest for the creation of the best technological card of the lesson on the writer's creativity is being waited for by the participants of the IX International Festival of School Teachers in the middle of the year, and the ball of teachers and students will be a reconstruction of the action based on the novel "War and Peace" at the end of the year during the Assembly days of the university. The meeting with great-grandson of L.N. Tolstoy Vladimir Tolstoy is planned In October.

The students are waited by public lectures of teachers of the institute. Activities with profile slope will take place at all faculties of the Institute. Thus, the literary club "The Planet of the Writer" will work at the Faculty of Philology and History within a year. The library of the university and the department of Russian language and literature are already working on the creation of the museum of the book, dedicated to the Year of Tolstoy.

The students of our and other institutions of higher education, including foreign ones, will gather on April 19 at the International Scientific and Practical Conference dedicated to the 190th birthday of L.N. Tolstoy.
