The laboratory staff participated in the internationalscientific and practical conference 'Russia and the World: Global Challenges and Strategies for Socio-cultural Modernization'

 

The laboratory staff Oleg Yanitskii, Yulia Ermolaeva, and Olga Usacheva participated in the internationalscientific and practical conference “Russia and the World: Global Challenges and Strategies for Socio-cultural Modernization”, which was held on 12-13 September 2017 in Moscow. The conference was dedicated to the discussion on such topics as modern approaches for understanding the globalisation, problems of Russia’s regions modernisation. The main focus was made on differentiating regions based on the socio-cultural indicators. Yanitskii presented a report “Current Issues in Investigating the Globalization: ten theses”. Yulia Ermolaeva presented a report “Tools for Managing Green Energy in the Metropolitan Areas”, which was aimed at discussing advantages and specifics of the horizontal (distributed) nature of energy generation and social effects in the Russian Federation context. Olga Usacheva presented a report “Russian Concepts of Greening the Cities”. It described the history of different interdisciplinary approaches of cities’ transition to the eco-oriented type of development.
