Marcel Zabbarov's 70th anniversary

March 17, 2017, the Assembly Hall of Leo Tolstoy Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication hosted a jubilee evening dedicated to Marcel Bakirovich Zabbarov’s 70th anniversary. Marcel Bakirovich Zabbarov is a People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, Honored Artist of Russia, laureate of Musa Jalil Prize, the head of the youth theatre “Mizgel”.

The event began with congratulations given by Andrey Vyacheslavovich Artemyev, the pro-rector on innovation activities, and Radif Rifkatovich Zamaletdinov, the director of IPIC, who cordially congratulated the hero of the day and wished him good health and new creative successes. Radif Zamaletdinov emphasized the important role of the theatre, headed by the jubilee, in the moral and aesthetic education of students.

During the event, there were excerpts from key performances staged by Marcel Zabbarov, lyrical songs and poems, touching congratulations by the young fans of the director.

By the way, Marcel Zabbarov has been running the youth theatre “Mizgel” for twenty years. The repertoire of the theatre includes works by such classics as Tufan Minnullin, Amirkhan Yeniki, Mustai Karim, Angam Atnabaev, Khai Wakhit, Alexey Dudarev, etc. The activity of the theatre “Mizgel” is especially relevant and is in demand because it instills the love of high art in students, which makes a huge contribution to the moral education of the future generation, the preservation and development of the Tatar language.
