Regimes come and go, but the taiga remains ... Institute for Comparative Studies of Modernity at the International Conference in Versailles

Veronica Simonova, research fellow of Institute for Comparative Studies of Modernity participated in the international conference "Human-environment relations: skills, knowledge, emotions and politics in Siberia and China (Evenk and Even peoples)" which was held at the University of Versailles (France) on January 11-13, 2013. Veronica Simonova was a member of the organizing committee and made a report "Abandoned places and their dwellers: the agency of spirits and memories in Evenki taiga landscapes in the north Baikal, Siberia".
