'Unity': students of all countries, unite!

The new project «Unity» has embraced various master-classes, a cinema club, brain-rings, conferences in TED Talks format, and many other new exciting events.

International Friendship Club «Unity» was opened at the initiative of the Director of Elabuga Institute of KFU Elena Merzon. Students community has united the representatives from different countries into a single command.

The head of the international students community became Olga Fayzullina, a lecturer of the department of English Philology and Intercultural Communication. She considers that the main mission of the project is to strengthen the international relations and to establish a network of ties with the university- partners of Elabuga Institute of KFU.

"The number of foreign students studying at our institute is growing from year to year, - Olga Fayzullina says. - It is for favorable adaptation and implementation of creative potential of foreign students it was necessary to create a project of such kind."

Rich and extraordinary program of the club includes master classes, discussions, round tables, conferences on current topics in the TED Talks format, a motivational club, Brain Ring. I can’t but mention English and German clubs of language communication, functioning on the basis of Elabuga State Art and Historical-Architectural museum -reserve.

It should be mentioned, that the work of «Unity» presupposes preparation of students for the international exams, opening of a cinema club in the English and German languages.

"In order to realize themselves at the international level, it is necessary for students to pass an exam. It is very important for our students because many of them participate in international exchange programs, win various international grants "- explains Olga Fayzullina.

A special form of work with the community members attracts interested students - the club has a number of projects, such as # sleduyzamnoy(followme) (when we are "traveling" to different countries), #madeinChina (activities related to the Chinese language and culture).

Diana Yakubova, a student of the Faculty of foreign languages, one of the founders of the club, shared: "This is not just a project to attract students to be engaged in some kind of educational activities, but the project to reveal one’s creative abilities. In the process of common activity, there appears certain relationship between the students from all over the world. The Community helps to ensure the students to pass international exams and to understand its necessity. While preparing for the exams the students are expected to reveal their creativity, cramming only is not sufficient. It is very important. We do our best to involve all the students into our events so that everyone could find the activity to his liking”.

"International activity is the extremely important activity for Elabuga Institute of KFU. It is no coincidence that our institute and our faculty have been chosen as the ground for the «Unity» club. After all, our faculty has accumulated extensive experience in the field of international activity. Today, we have a great number of foreign partners: the Goethe Institute, the German Academic Exchange Center. We are also working with the university-partners of KFU ", - explained Alfia Ashrafullovna Sibgatullina, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Associate Professor of the Department of German Philology. - Opening of the club is interesting for us in several aspects. First - this is the expansion of international cooperation of both students and teachers. Second, it helps to improve students' knowledge of English and German. Well, and at last that is simply interesting. I believe that all our active and creative students will find something interesting for themselves in this club. "
