Kazan University is number 52 in emerging Europe and Central Asia (that's what EECA stands for) and 12th in Russia. The list is topped by Moscow State University.

KFU has been a part of QS rankings since 2005. In the latest subject rankings the University managed to enter such categories as Linguistics (151 - 200), Physics and Astronomy (301 - 400), and Mathematics (301 - 400).
