IT Projects Planned by Kazan University and Norwegian Partners

A delegation of our Northern European neighbors was at KFU on June 1st.

The visiting team was headed by Norwegian Ambassador Leidulv Atle Namtvedt. They met with Vice-Rector for Foreign Relations Linar Latypov and other KFU’s representatives to discuss prospective cooperation.

The University’s geologists partnered up with University of Bergen in 2012 – 2015 to research coercive spectrometry and its applications for environmental studies. The Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology has been involved in a research project in risk factors of cardiovascular diseases in Russia with Norwegian colleagues since 2013.

The two sides plan to introduce more forms on cooperation, such as student exchange, academic visits, etc.

The delegation also met with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and other officials the day before.
