Tolerance – strength or weakness? Such a training course was held within project ALLMEET - Actions of Lifelong Learning addressing Multicultural Education and Tolerance in Russia.
Olga Goryachevo, associated professor at Mass Media Department, started the training course with explaining the meaning of the notion tolerance and introduced its definition according to Declaration of Tolerance Principles adopted by UNESCO on November 16, 1995. Furthermore, the main reasons for intolerance were discussed
After the informative theoretical chunk of the training course the audience was suggested to participate in game Nations’ Festival. The game allowed indicating whether an individual is prone to show intolerance. At the end the course of the game and the audience behavior were unpicked so as to get the utmost efficiency from the training course.
