Scientists from Four Countries in International Symposium in Naberezhnye Chelny

The branch of Kazan Federal University in Naberezhnye Chelny hosts international symposium on new trends in the political discourse of the XXI century on 14, 17, 21 December, 2012. The symposium is attended by more than a dozen scientists and experts, including four scientists from China, Spain and Italy.

The representatives of University of Bologna will take part in discussion of migration issues and other social and political aspects with their Russian colleagues on December, 17.


Encarnación Hidalgo Tenorio, Senior Lecturer in English and German Philology at the University of Granada (Spain) delivers a public lecture "I want to be a Prime-Minister or the Linguistic Choice in Preparing the Political Speech" on December, 21.


The symposium was opened by the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Dean of Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​Liliya Sakaeva and Co-Chairman Vasil Sakaev, the Head of the Department of Political Science in branch of Kazan Federal University in Naberezhnye Chelny. Liliya Sakaeva noted the importance of the symposium which aims to give new impetus to the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of joint research projects in political science and philology. The welcome speech in Spanish was given by Professor Anatoly Makarov, the Head of the Department of Economics.


The symposium’s reports addressed the specific linguistic aspects of political discourse.
