One More Center was Opened within the Institute of Oriental Studies and International Relations

On September 28, 2012 a ceremony of opening of Scientific and Educational Center of Judaica and Middle East Researches was held in the Institute of Oriental Studies and International Relations of KFU.

A new scientific center opened on the basis of the Institute of Oriental Studies will become a platform for researching state, political and economic systems of Israel, as well as of its ethnographical and religious peculiarities. As one of the main players on the political arena of the Middle East, Israel represents a special interest for researches, that is why Kazan Federal University is already preparing ground for co-operation with countries of the Middle East in this area. The First secretary of the Embassy of Israel in Russia, Mr. Shlomo Voskoboynik, arrived to participate in the ceremony devoted to opening of Judaica and Middle East Study Center. He gave a lecture for the ceremony participants. This visit is not the first visit of Mr. Voskoboynik to Kazan University, as far as he is an active supporter of close co-operation.

Students-orientalists will have an opportunity to get supplementary advanced knowledge in this Center. According to the Director of the Center, in future this education is planned to be proved by international diplomas.
