New Dehydrogenation Catalysts to Be Jointly Developed by Kazan University and Haldor Topsoe

A cooperation agreement between the sides was signed on November 10th in the presence of the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

The signatories were Rector Ilshat Gafurov and CEO Bjerne S. Clausen.

Dehydrogenation catalysts are essential for the production of rubbers and polymers. The agreement includes lab research, testing and industrial production.

The work on Kazan side will be headed by Deputy Director of the Institute of Chemistry Aleksandr Lamberov.

Representatives of Haldor Topsoe are interested in all stages of the product development cycle, said Dr. Lamberov.

Earlier this year a memorandum of understanding was signed by the same parties. The memorandum was dedicated to joint educational, research and production projects.
