Kazan Federal University and IFP Energies Nouvelles Signed Agreement on Cooperation was signed on March, 31.

The text of the Agreement was signed by KFU Vice-Rector for Research Danis Nurgaliyev and IFP Energies Nouvelles Scientific Director Eric Heintze. 

The objective of the Agreement is the development of joint research, implementation of new research projects in the sphere of physical chemistry, modelling and simulation, petrochemistry, enhanced oil recovery, gas treatment, thermoanalysis, intermolecular interactions.

The collaboration also comprises publication of joint articles, reviews, books; organization of academic programs, courses, seminars, conferences and other forms of knowledge exchange (literature, textbooks, university publications, and periodicals); exchange programs for students and post-graduates. 

Speaking with journalists, Associate Director of the International Relations Division at the IFPEN Dr. Yolande Rondot shared a story how the rapport between KFU and IFP was built: "It happened quite naturally. A researcher of our institute met a researcher from your university at one international congress. They shared their ideas, knowledge and it turned out that their research was quite similar. Our institute is open to collaboration, we are always open to new contacts; that is how the interaction was developed and we have reached the present level."

According to Dr. Rondot, the cooperation schemes between KFU and IFP Energies nouvelles can be different and optionally go beyond the Agreement. 

The members of the IFP Energies nouvelles delegation will remain in Kazan for three days. They will meet scientists and get acquainted with academic and research laboratories of the Alexander Butlerov Institute of Chemistry, the Institute of Geology and Petroleum Technologies and the Institute of Physics.
