Plenary session opened Vice-rector for research Danis Nurgaliev. He noticed that the conference gathered the scientists from different fields of studies: chemistry, physics, biology, mathematics. Vice-president explained the interest from the point of view of actuality of topics discussed: “We live on the boarder of solid body and air, gaseous phase plays significant role in people’s life’s“.

Conference participants were also welcomed by the Vice-minister for education and science Andrey Pominov. He made emphasis on the role of Kazan as the place for the conference conduct. Vice-minister explained it with the following fact: “Nowadays the scientific component of our Republic is developing rapidly”.

Greeting speech also held the Chairman of ICMAR 2012, Director of the Institute of theoretical and applied mechanics named after S.A. Khristianovitch of the Russian Academy of Science, academician Vasiliy Fomin.

The conference program includes following aspects: methods of flow diagnostics, cfd methods and codes: problems of modeling and verification, methods of aerophysical research (MAR) in interdisciplinary problems. At the same time will be organized different mini-symposiums and round-tables devoted to the problems of adoption of achievements gained through the aerophysical research in industrial technologies.
