An agreement was signed to establish research and education consortium Vernadsky – Volga Region.
The forum has been held today at Moscow State University. Several discussion panels were organized to talk about globalization, education, and cultural progress. Academics, government officials, and business leaders were invited.
Several documents were signed pertaining to Vernadsky consortia. The initiative aims to strengthen ties between Moscow universities and the rest of the country. So far, such regions Republic of Tatarstan, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Udmurt Republic, Kabardino-Balkar Republic, Kemerovo Oblast, Moscow Oblast, and Khabarovsk Krai have joined the consortia. TusHoldings is an international partner from China.
The forum also included regular meetings of the Russian Union of Rectors and the Eurasian Association of Universities.
