Delegation of Gulistan State University
Guests from Uzbekistan visited on 15th March.
Rector Ilshat Gafurov welcomed his peer Mukhsin Khodzhiev in the presentation room and spoke about KFU’s history and strategy. He mentioned that there over 7,100 international students here and said that 2019 was officially announced Ivan Simonov Year.
Gulistani colleagues were especially keen to find out about university-industry cooperation. To this, Dr. Gafurov noted, “At this stage, KFU has already implemented the University 3.0 strategy – a model of a scientific and technological cluster for technology transfer and practice-oriented educational programs. Now, we are raising the bar and planning to virtualize and digitize all research and study programs.”
Mukhsin Khodzhiev thanked Mr. Gafurov and emphasized that he is most interested in medicine graduates, “This is one of the priorities for Uzbekistan. In the next few days, we’d like to meet Uzbekistani students here to speak about this. Minister of Health of our country has been informed about possible cooperation with Kazan University in this matter.”
Before departing on 19th March, the delegation plans to visit several KFU institutes.
