The initiative continued yesterday, 19th May, at the Universiade Village.
This time, the packages are donated by the Government of Tatarstan. They include flour, candy, pasta, sweet croutons, condensed milk, canned beef, canned fish, rice, sunflower oil, and some other products. Yesterday, 3,459 of the packages were distributed, which brings the total number to 31,924. This information was given by Vice-Rector for Construction and Maintenance Lenar Safiullin.
“I am very happy that the University has not stopped caring about us, especially during this challenging time. I want to express sincere gratitude for this provided help,” says Indonesian student Mulia Shumakher.
Sophomore Merdzhen Khabyrova from Turkmenistan shares, “We are very pleased to feel this care from our university, and we are grateful for the help.”
Junior Karina Nigmatullina (Kazakhstan) notes, “The packages includes the most necessary things.”
During the pandemic, many students and their families encounter difficulties. The University tries to provide material and psychological assistance to all students.
