The signing ceremony took place at Skoltech in Moscow on 26th September.
The universities which joined the consortium are Skoltech, Kazan Federal University, Bashkir State University, Bashkir State Medical University, and Ufa State Aviation Technical University.
The Integral Photonics and New Materials Lab will tackle theoretical and practical aspects of new instruments in photonics for materials, electrodynamics and biomedical applications.
Лаборатория интегральной фотоники и новых материалов создана с целью исследования теоретических основ и разработки новых инструментов на основе фотоники для задач материаловедения, прикладной электродинамики и биомедицинских приложений.
One of the employees of the newly established entity is KFU Professor Sergey Kharintsev.
He commented, “The areas of research of the laboratory are theoretical and applied aspects of photonics, radio photonics, and their use in additive and biomedical technology. The coordination between Skoltech, Kazan Federal University and Ufanese institution is a logical outcome of existing cooperation.”
The signed agreement covers multilateral R&D and network educational programs.
