From 17 to 18 September joint Symposium with Kanazawa University (Japan) "Fundamental Science and the Latest Technologies for Sustainable Development in the 21st Century" was held on the basis of the Kazan Federal University (KFU). The delegation from Japan was led by Yoshio Otani, vice President of Kanazawa University. Kanazawa University for a long time consistently enters the top 20 best universities in Japan.
Research assistants of the Laboratory of Intelligent Robotic Systems (LIRS) of the Higher Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (ITIS) Arthur Sagitov and Aufar Zakiev successfully presented the results of the laboratory's work. Paper topics were as following:
“Design and implementation of virtual experiments for Apriltag and Aruco markersin ROS/Gazebo environment.” Authors: Zakiev A., Shabalina K., Sagitov A., Li H.,Martinez-Garcia E. A.,Magid E.
“Detection andplanning open wound suturing in Gazebo environment”. Authors: Sagitov A., Magid E.
During the poster-sessions students of the Master's program "Intelligent Robotics" of the ITIS KFU presented reports in the field of intelligent robotics on the following topics:
“Pick-and-place task performing in Gazebo simulator by humanoid robot AR-601m”. Authors: Khusnutdinov К., Sagitov A., Yakupov A., Magid E.
