Kazan University now licensed to provide PhD and residency training in medicine
The document was issued by the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science on 5th April.
Residency training at KFU will now be available in cardiology, dermatology and STDs, maxillofacial surgery, cosmetology, general dentistry, therapeutic dentistry, dental surgery, orthopedic dentistry, child dentistry, and orthodontia. Also, PhD programs in fundamental medicine, clinical medicine, medical preemptive care, and pharmacy are now licensed as well.
The approval is very on time for KFU, since the university will have its first graduate class in dentistry and pharmacy in 2018.
The University now plans to work on expanding the number of educational profiles in postgraduate education and training in medicine. Fee-based PhD programs may also soon become available.
