It was held at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education in Moscow.
The Peruvian side was represented by a number of officials and headed by Arturo Jarama, Director of the Department of Science and Technology at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Russian team was led by Viktor Smirnov, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Kazan University dispatched Liliya Ilikova, Deputy Director of the Institute of International Relations.
KFU voiced its suggestions on academic exchange and joint research. Much interest was drawn to programs in history, archeology, and international relations.
Notably, Kazanites visited the Latin American country in 2018. A memorandum of cooperation was signed with Cesar Vallejo University. This year, an analogous document was concluded with the National University of San Marcos, the longest continuously operating university in the Americas. Both agreements cover joint research, academic mobility, seminars, conferences, and other activities.
