He visited the Institute of International Relations on 20th February.
The lecture was a part of the Decade of Diplomacy and presented in the Turkish language with an accompanying Russian presentation.
Director of the Higher School of International Relations and Oriental Studies Elmira Khabibullina commented on the visit, “I have to note that public lectures by active diplomats are different conceptually and in form from our faculty’s approach. Mr. Dogan noted that our educators are highly qualified and have been able to teach good specialists. He said that some of the questions were so tricky that he was briefly at a loss about what to answer.”
The Consul also expressed his wish to launch a series of lectures. Consequently, two more meetings with students have been scheduled, and they both will be conducted in English to cater to a larger audience. The presentations will be dedicated to diplomatic work, Turkey’s international standing, cooperation between Turkey and Russia / Turkey and Tatarstan. Our region has traditionally been Turkey’s most significant trade partner in Russia.
The meeting is currently slated for early March.
