Board of Trustees of the Institute of Management, Economics and Finance Convened for the First Time
Tatarstani Government Chief of Staff Shamil Gafarov was elected Chairman of the Board during this meeting on August 3rd.
Rector Ilshat Gafurov opened the event by talking about the new structure of Kazan University.
Mr. Gafarov thanked the trustees for bestowing the honor of chairmanship upon him. Director of IMEF Nailya Bagaoutdinova and Deputy Director of IMEF Svetlana Kotenkova were respectively chosen to be the Deputy Chairperson and the Secretary of the Board.
The other members were picked by the Board of Academics of IMEF on June 28th. There are many public officials, entrepreneurs, and scientists, most of whom are the alumni of IMEF (previously Kazan State Institute of Finance and Economics).
Some other decisions were also made yesterday, such as proposals for the enhancement of curricula and a new system of employer recommendations for graduates that could help in job hunting.
