Students of Elabuga Institute of KFU became one of the best at the professional competition "The best specialist in the field of physical culture and sports"
The competitions were held from 6 to 9 February at Southern Federal University.
On February 6, the X Olympiad of students in the specialty "Physical Culture and Sports" started at Southern Federal University, within the framework of which a professional competition "The best specialist in the field of physical culture and sports" was held. 20 teams of students from federal universities of Russia specializing in the training of professional athletes gathered in Rostov-on-Don.
Students of the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy, who train under the guidance of teachers of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Physical Culture and Life Safety of EI KFU, also demonstrated their skills and knowledge. The team of our Institute was represented by 4 athletes – Ovchinnikov Sergey, Mullanurov Dinar, Bikuzin Artem and Petrova Elizaveta – under the guidance of Associate Professor Roman Petrov.
On the first day of the Olympiad, a seminar-meeting on the development of physical culture and sports was held, after which the competition program began. So, on February 7, the participants performed at the practical and methodological competition "Teaching physical culture in basic general education programs" and at sports competitions in swimming, checkers, chess and sambo wrestling. And the next day, the athletes were expected to compete for scientific papers in the field of sports.
Our guys successfully coped with all competitive tests and pleased with individual achievements. Ovchinnikov Sergey took the first place in sambo, and Bikuzin Artem - the second in the framework of the scientific (theoretical) competition. Dinar Mullanurov and Elizaveta Petrova were also awarded for participating in a competitive chess test and a practical and methodological competition, respectively. In the overall standings, the EI KFU team took 2 places at scientific and creative competitions.
