The department of Criminal Procedure and Judicial Activity runs at the Faculty of History and Law of the Elabuga Institute of Kazan Federal University on the basis of the order of the Rector of May 14, 2014 No. 01-06 / 573.
The basic (extraterritorial) Department of Criminal Procedure and Judicial Activity was established at Elabuga City Court of the Republic of Tatarstan. This will allow, on the one hand, to create conditions for the effective application in the educational process of judicial and other legal practice, and on the other hand, to combine the scientific potential of the department and the practical experience of law enforcement officers. The basic department will allow improving the educational process, to give graduates the competencies that are necessary today in professional activities. Students will be able to participate in the actual process of their future profession already in the 2-3 year course, which will help the graduates to adapt and their more effective and rapid inclusion in the professional activity.
Since the establishment of the department, a lot of work has been done to meet the requirements of the GEF, in particular, to create a criminal studies room and a courtroom. Storefronts, stands and posters, full-scale collections, a universal forensic kit (forensic suitcase) were purchased for the forensic study. The courtroom is equipped with appropriate furniture, office equipment, decorated booths, and received judicial gowns as a gift from the existing practitioners.
