The delegation is headed by Senator Gérard Longuet and includes senators Édouard Courtial and Simon Sutour.
Vice-Rector Linar Latypov accompanied the visitors in the History Museum and presented the University. In particular, he said that KFU and French colleagues have co-authored 502 papers since 2015.
Senior Research Associate Timur Madzhidov spoke about chemoinformatics projects undertaken with the University of Strasbourg.
Associate Professor Galina Matushevskaya introduced French language studies at KFU and showed a newly published French-language guide of the city of Kazan.
Mr. Longuet said that the delegation aims to learn more about the current state of affairs in Russia. Discussing Kazan University, he noted, “Much here says about your success – your students partner up with European research centers, including those in France. I believe in the future of Kazan University.”
Currently, KFU has 11 partner universities in France. There is one French national enrolled in an undergraduate program here.
