You are cordially invited to the 8th Russian-Japanese Workshop on “Open Shell Compounds and Molecular Spin Devices” to be held on September 29 - October 2, 2014 in Kazan, Russia.

Aims and Scope

The aim of the Workshop is to provide a basically bilateral but international/global forum for discussions of interdisciplinary issues on open shell compounds and molecular spin science/technology among chemists, physicists, biologists and materials scientists. Particularly, the Workshop will focus on syntheses of novel open shell compounds, recent/exotic applications, and quests for novel functionalities of open shell systems as diverse as possible; organic and inorganic chemistry, physics, biological science, materials and polymer science/engineering. Theoretical approaches to spin science/technology and spin-based quantum cybernetics also will be encouraged.

Venue and Access

The scientific sessions will take place in the Institute of Physics of Kazan Federal University (address: Institute of Physics, Kazan Federal University, 16a Kremlyovskaya str., Kazan, 420008, Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation).
