Educational Resources Development Office was established on November 18, 2011 (by the order of KFU Rector Gafurov # 01-06/579) in accordance with the University Charter for improving the efficiency and optimizing the structure of KFU. Formerly, it was known as Educational Office of the University.

On December 13, 2012 Educational Office was renamed to Educational Resources Development Office (further - ERDO) (by the order of KFU Rector Gafurov # 01-06/1088).

The main activity of ERDO includes the coordination, supervision of the implementation of additional professional education programs at KFU (in accordance with Federal state educational standards, requirements of Federal government, and KFU regulations) as well as activities in academic mobility related to e-Learning.

ERDO focuses primarily on the following tasks:

• organization, coordination and supervision of academic mobility at KFU;
• organization, coordination and monitoring activities of KFU structural units in IT-development and elaboration of e-Learning resources;
• coordination and quality control in e-Learning;
• exchange of experience in e-Learning with Russian and international universities and academic mobility of Faculty and Staff;
• organization of franchising of educational programs of International Universities at KFU;
• organization and coordination of further education;
• joint activities of KFU units in the development of a new continuous education system.
