Clinical Linguistics

Areas of research:

• Diagnosis of vascular, traumatic, autoimmune and genetic pathology of the brain at the clinical stage, assistance in diagnosis and rehabilitation.
• Diagnosis of vascular, traumatic, autoimmune and genetic pathology of the brain at the "clinical" stage, when the patient still lacks obvious motor, sensory or other disorders.
• Control of the course (progression, stationary, regressing course) of already existing brain diseases. When solving these problems, reliance in clinical judgments only on the appearance or disappearance of "organic" symptoms is very inaccurate and does not allow for timely correction of treatment. Cognitive functions, including speech, and their violations - the best diagnostic criteria - are not used in routine clinical practice for many reasons, including the absence of protocols for linguistic testing in a neurological clinic.
• Optimization of the diagnostic process in patients with pain syndromes and alexithymic patients.
• Diagnosis and correction of speech disorders in children.
