Oluwadamilola Evans Owamoyo, 3rd year undergraduate student (Nigeria)

I had a choice between 6 universities on my scholarship in Nigeria. I looked at the rating and saw that KFU was the top on the list, so I chose KFU. On the website I could see that ITIS was a very new faculty and gave the modern knowledge that I needed, because I had studied programming before. At the preparatory faculty we had a very good Russian language, I learned the language well in one year. The dormitory is very good too. My friend, who also studies at KFU, has told me that there is a good dorm here and this was also one of the reasons to choose a university. Before, when I was at school in Nigeria, we had little sports, but here I do a lot of it, there is a lot of physical education, and this helps me as well. Here I became better at programming, I chose mobile app development (iOS) as a specialization. At first, I studied Python, but then I saw that it was inconvenient to write applications in Python, I realized that Swift was better suited for that and chose it. But I also have some knowledge of Java. As a research area, I chose robotics.

Ahmad Ehab-Eldin Abdallah Helaly, 3rd year undergraduate student (Egypt)

I have decided to study at KFU, because the quality of education here is high, I have learned that only advanced students stay here, which means it is a good place for great people. The training turned to be not so difficult, and the problem with the Russian language can be solved with time. At ITIS, I learned how to work in a team and communicate with foreigners. It is difficult to communicate with strangers, and if you speak different languages, it is doubly more difficult. But it is normal, in any area there is a possibility to face difficulties. I believe that in KFU there is an opportunity to make projects more useful for myself and for my career. I have applied for internship and I am waiting for a decision. I will work in my specialty in Russia and abroad. There are good companies in Russia with high salaries. I am fond of back-end development, the disciplines we study are helpful and most recent.

Chan Tiet Dat, 2nd year undergraduate student (Vietnam)

I have come to ITIS because I want to become a programmer. My parents live in Kazan, so I have chosen KFU. In ITIS I get new knowledge, the ability to work in a team. Now I'm pretty good at programming. I plan to specialize in the field of machine learning and AI. If somebody wants to become a programmer, this person should study mathematics well and come to ITIS.

Edwin Camilo Fajardo Roa, 4th year undergraduate student (Colombia)

On the Open Day I came to the ITIS desk and read the booklet and immediately I liked the learning process. After completing the 1st year, you can choose a specialty to build your career. In general, the IT sphere is very large, and I like that ITIS gives many opportunities, many options. Studying at ITIS gives me an understanding of the very structure of work in the field of IT, the opportunity to build a good career, a lot of new acquaintances, not only among students, but also among teachers who are very gifted. New people, new culture is a big plus, it's difficult but interesting. I have been living in Russia for 4 years and I think that any person who works hard can get a diploma. My Russian classmates help me in my studies, and if I don't understand something, I can find it on the Internet, I try to catch up with the others if something is not clear to me. In my second year, I chose robotics, and now I'm in the DML laboratory, where I work on developing games, animation, and modeling. These are two different laboratories, but I decided to try something new, and I got such an opportunity, as in ITIS you can change the laboratory.
