Areas of professional activity

Areas of professional activity and (or) areas of professional activity in which graduates who have completed the program can carry out professional activities:

• Education and science (in the field of primary general, basic general, secondary general education, vocational training, vocational education, additional education).

Tasks of professional activity

• Graduates are preparing to solve the following types of professional tasks:
• The implementation of professional activities in accordance with regulatory legal acts in the field of education and professional ethics.
• Development and implementation of basic and additional educational programs.
• Organization of joint and individual educational and educational activities of students, including those with special educational needs.
• Monitoring and evaluation of the formation of students' educational results, identification and correction of learning problems.
• Individualization of education, upbringing and development of students, including those with special educational needs
• Interaction with participants in educational relations.
• Design and implementation of educational programs and educational process in the system of basic and secondary general education; training, education and development of students based on special scientific knowledge.

Graduates of the direction who have mastered the program acquire the following competencies, i.e. the ability to apply knowledge, skills and personal qualities in accordance with the tasks of professional activity:

Universal competencies

A graduate of the direction is capable of:

• to carry out a critical analysis of problematic situations based on a systematic approach, to develop a strategy of action
• manage the project at all stages of its life cycle
• organize and manage the work of the team, developing a team strategy to achieve the set goal
• apply modern communication technologies, including in a foreign language(s), for academic and professional interaction
• analyze and take into account the diversity of cultures in the process of intercultural interaction
• identify and implement the priorities of their own activities and ways to improve them based on self-assessment

General professional competencies

A graduate of the direction is capable of:

• to carry out and optimize professional activities in accordance with regulatory legal acts in the field of education and standards of professional ethics
• design basic and additional educational programs and develop scientific and methodological support for their implementation
• design the organization of joint and individual educational and educational activities of students, including those with special educational needs
• to create and implement conditions and principles of spiritual and moral education of students based on basic national values
• develop programs to monitor the educational outcomes of students, develop and implement programs to overcome learning difficulties
• design and use effective psychological and pedagogical, including inclusive, technologies in professional activities necessary for individualization of education, development, education of students with special educational needs
• plan and organize the interactions of participants in educational relations
• design pedagogical activities based on special scientific knowledge and research results

In addition, a graduate of this field

• has knowledge of the language system, the rules of functioning of language units in speech, as well as the ability to use this knowledge to understand and correctly interpret the thoughts of another person and express their own thoughts orally and in writing
• knows the theoretical and practical basics of teaching foreign languages, the patterns of formation of the ability to intercultural communication
• knows the means and methods of professional activity of a foreign language teacher, as well as the laws of the processes of teaching and learning foreign languages

Practice and research work

The first defense of master's theses at the Faculty of Foreign Languages

Practice is a type of training sessions that are directly focused on professional and practical training. Practitioners consolidate the knowledge and skills acquired as a result of mastering theoretical courses, develop practical skills and contribute to the integrated formation of general cultural, professional and special competencies.

Educational, industrial practices and research work are provided.

The introductory practice is aimed at mastering a set of universal, general professional and professional competencies in accordance with the requirements for this educational level, it takes place at the Department of English Philology and Intercultural Communication (Faculty of Foreign Languages of the EI KFU).

 

Pedagogical practice takes place in educational organizations and is aimed at mastering professional pedagogical skills, skills of independent conduct of educational work.

The purpose of research work (R&D) is to develop the ability and practical skills to independently carry out scientific research related to solving complex scientific and design tasks in the field of training in innovative conditions.

The bases of students' internships are the following institutions:

• Yelabuga Institute of KFU
• schools of the city of Yelabuga, Naberezhnye Chelny and other schools of the Republic of Tatarstan.

State final certification

The final state certification includes the protection of the master's final qualification work.

Upon completion of the development of the main professional educational program, a master's degree is awarded.
