Areas of professional activity

The graduates of Basic Professional Educational Program of higher education (BPEP HE) can carry out professional activities and correspond to the orientation (profile) of BPEP HE :03 Social services; sphere of social protection of the population.

The list of the main objects (or areas of knowledge) of professional activities of graduates: individuals, families, population groups and communities in need of social protection.

Objectives of professional activity

social and technological activities: identification and assessment of the needs of individual citizens, families and other social groups in social security, social assistance and social services; selection and/or adaptation of model social technologies aimed at ensuring human rights in the field of social protection for the purpose of individual and social well-being; effective implementation of social work technologies and social protection measures in order to improve the living conditions of citizens and families; provision of standard social-household, socio-medical, socio-psychological, socio-pedagogical, social-labor, social-legal services, as well as services in order to increase the communication potential of individuals and families; assessment of the effectiveness of the implementation of technologies for the social protection of citizens, including the quality of social services; management of social risks arising in the process of life of a person, family and other social groups, on the basis of modern strategies and models of social assistance; the use of technologies to activate the potential of a person in order to improve the conditions of his life and individual well-being; representation of the interests and needs of various groups of the population in interprofessional, interfaith cooperation, in various state, public, religious organizations and structures;

project activities: participation in social- project activities aimed at improving the quality of social work and ensuring the social well-being of the individual and society; pedagogical activity: participation in the organization of activities to meet the special educational needs of various groups of the population aimed at increasing the level of their social adaptation and rehabilitation, ensuring a healthy lifestyle; participation in the implementation of educational activities in the system of general, vocational and additional education; implementation of professional self-education and personal growth.

Competencies formed

Graduates of the direction who have mastered the program acquire the following competencies, i.e. the ability to apply knowledge, skills and personal qualities in accordance with the tasks of professional activity:

Universal competencies

• Able to search, critical analysis and synthesis of information, apply a systematic approach to solve problems
• Able to determine the range of tasks within the framework of the goal and choose the best ways to solve them, based on the current legal norms, available resources and restrictions
• Able to carry out social interaction and realize its role in the team. Able to carry out business communication in oral and written forms in the state language of the Russian Federation and foreign language(s)
• Able to perceive the intercultural diversity of society in socio-historical, ethical and philosophical contexts.
• Able to manage the time, build and implement a trajectory of self-development based on the principles of lifelong education
• Able to maintain the proper level of physical fitness to ensure full social and professional activity
• Able to create and maintain in everyday life and in professional activities safe living conditions for the preservation of the natural environment, ensuring the sustainable development of society, including the threat and occurrence of emergencies and military conflicts
• Able to make informed economic decisions in various fields of life
• Able to form an intolerant attitude to corrupt behavior

• Able to understand the principles of modern information technologies and use them to solve the problems of professional activity
• Able to describe social phenomena and processes on the basis of analysis and generalization of professional information, scientific theories, concepts and relevant approaches
• Able to compile and draw up reports on the results of professional activities in the field of social work
• Capable of using, monitoring and evaluating methods and techniques for implementing professional social work activities

• Capable of using the theory and technologies of social work in professional activities
• Capable of independent search for professionally significant information, including using information and communication technologies
• Capable of developing and implementing projects, including managerial orientation, based on data

Practice and research work

Practice is a type of training session that is directly focused on professional and practical training. Practices consolidate the knowledge and skills acquired as a result of the development of theoretical courses, develop practical skills and contribute to the integrated formation of universal, general professional and professional competencies.

The Basic Professional Educational Program includes: educational practice, industrial practice, performance of research work.

Educational practice is aimed at the formation of primary skills and abilities of future professional activity: research work.

Educational practices are conducted on the basis of the departments of Psychology and Pedagogy of the Yelabuga Institute of KFU.

Work experience practices allow you to gain experience in professional activities and ensure the readiness of the Basic Professional Educational Program graduate for practical activities: technological (project-technological) practice.

Enterprises and organizations of Yelabuga;

Methods of conducting industrial practice: stationary or on-site.

The bases for the passage of work experience practices can be:

• Enterprises and organizations of Yelabuga;
• Enterprises and organizations at the place of residence of the student

State Final Certification

The final state certification includes the performance and defense of the final qualification work.

Upon completion of the development of the main professional educational program, the qualification "bachelor" is assigned.
