Elabuga Institute of KFU remembers the pages of the history of the war years and is proud of them.

During the Great Patriotic War, the university building housed several educational institutions: Elabuga teacher training school, Еlabuga Teachers' Training Institute and two evacuated universities – from Leningrad and Voronezh, there were also employees of the branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences headed by academician V.A. Ambartsumyan.

At the beginning of World War II, 5 teachers of our Institute went to the front, among them the head of the department of pedagogy T.Kh. Rakhmaeva, the head of the department of Marxism-Leninism F.Sh. Aptikaev, teachers H.A. Abrahmanov, E.T. Kobrov, M.P. Sokolov. In total, during the war years, 22 professors, 25 associate professors worked at the institute along with the evacuees.

After the war, 40 participants of the Great Patriotic War, including 26 teachers and 14 employees, worked at Еlabuga Teachers' Training Institute.

To honor the feat of the war participants and home front workers, to express deep gratitude to veterans, an extensive program of events was developed at Elabuga Institute of KFU.
