Elabuga Institute, which implements the mission of an "open university", offers a wide range of educational programs, teaching technologies (including those for people with disabilities), provides a high level of training for a competitive specialist with fundamental knowledge, leadership qualities, and the ability to self-development. The last component realizes the tendency of lifelong learning. The    Institute offers advanced training, retraining and additional education programs for all categories of workers in the education system.

The task of training competitive specialists with an in-depth penetration into the social problems of our time, including youth problems, is implemented by the Center for Environmental History and the Center for the Study of Youth Cultures. Their work is based on cooperation with Russian and foreign scientific and educational organizations (European Society for Environmental History, York University, Mississippi University, University of Warwick). Scientific guidance and consulting are carried out by foreign experts involved in the Federal University Development Program.
