The lecturers of the Department of General Physics lecture and give practical lessons on all sections of the course of general physics for:

- 1-3 courses of the day department of the Institute of Physics KFU;

- students of nonphysical specialties of KFU (information technology, geology, oil and gas business, chemistry, technical physics, quality management, biology, ecology, medicine, meteorology, land management and cadastres, etc.);

The course "Concepts of modern natural science" for nonphysical specialties of KFU, and a number of special courses at other departments of the Institute of Physics is being taught.

In the laboratories of our department, students from the preparatory department are trained, who came from all over the world in the following areas: medical biological, natural sciences, engineering and technical from such countries as Algeria, Afghanistan, Botswana, Burundi, China, Colombia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Gabon, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Iraq, Lebanon, Mozambique, Nigeria, Palestine, Syria, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Bolivia, Zimbabwe, Kazakhstan, Congo, Macedonia, Mexico, Namibia, Taiwan, Ecuador, Cameroon, Cuba, Peru, Chad.

At the Department of General Physics, the Educational Environment 21 +, a multimedia educational product in physics, is available to provide the educational process in the sections: mechanics, thermodynamics and molecular physics, electricity and magnetism, optics. In the developed product it was possible to combine the rich traditions of teaching physics in KFU, the best educational experimental base in Russia and the 20-year experience of creating modern multimedia educational products by the authors.
