The article presents a portrait of the Almetyevsk National Drama Theatre. The subject of the analysis is the premiere performances included in the tour of the theatre in Kazan in February 2017. The author focuses on the experimental works of the troupe: I. Zainiev’s “Kachaklar” (“The Fugitives”), I. Sakayev’s “Bistә fәresti” (“The Good Person of Sichuan”) and E. Shakhov’s “Kibet” (“The Store”).
