The article reconstructs historical events that served as the basis for N. Isanbet’s satirical comedy “Khijrat” (“Migration”) created in 1923. The material on the history of the stage productions is systematized. The authors highlight historical prototypes of the key characters of the play, reveal uniqueness of the director’s (I. Zainiev) interpretation of the work in the play “Kachaklar” (“Runaways”). The role of farce, grotesque, carnivalization in the production of the Almetyevsk Tatar State Drama Theatre is brought to light. The article summarizes historical material, shedding light on the originality of the author's views in the satirical comedy “Khijhrat” (“Migration”). The ideological and artistic originality of N. Isanbet's work is studied in relation to the literary and theatrical tendencies of the 1920s and from the modern times perspective.
