The article discusses metaphorization of zoonyms in the dialectal linguistic world-image, which is the focus of the current research. Tatar dialectal linguistic world-image manifests such external and internal characteristics of a person as diligence, grace, musicality, external beauty, stupidity, distraction, servility, immodesty, idleness, etc. through the images of animals (including birds, insects and fish). The inner form of the word contains quite a wide range of features: appearance, physical characteristics, habits, customs, peculiarities of perception, a manner of walking, birds singing, smell, etc.
